I am a performer,
the pieces I write are the same I have been playing for my entire life.
Nicola Granillo was born in Athens (Greece) and began to study violin at the age of 8 in Treviso (Italy) at the music institute with Master Luke Dalsass. In 1998 he received the diploma of Conservatory Steffani in Castelfranco with gold medal.
Nicola won a lot of first prizes in national and international violin competitions.
Numerous concerts at Venice S. Giovanni Academy were soloed and conducted by Nicola Granillo performing his very large repertory, that ranges from Vivaldi to contemporary music.
Nicola was the first violin of the orchestra "I Virtuosi di Aquileia". In Udine Main Theater Orchestra as well as in Orchestra Sinfonica Adriatica he held the role of a concertmeister. Since 2002, Nicola took part in "Ensemble '900".In April 2006 he debutated at Megaron Musikis in Athens by the invitation of C. Lambrakis, the president of the theatre. Nicola Granillo is also a member of the prestigious ensemble Interpreti Veneziani.
