Granillo's unique style combines virtuosity of performance technique and a talent

of transmitting of emotional state and energetic broadcasting of images and senses by means of music. Rare ability to sense the musical structure and distinctive properties of certain music epochs, likewise perception subtlety distinguish Nicola's performance from conventional virtuoso, who being aided with skills forget that music is not mere seven notes. Love to music by musician and absolute immersion into it lets the listeners to permeate into the deeps of musical masterpieces too, and to feel and perceive breadth and depth of not only the performers' emotions, but the composers' too. The unique gift of imaginative music transmission provokes the formation of colourful pictures behind every composition, which reveals its hidden layers to the admirers.

Nicola Granillo was born in Athens (Greece) and began to study violin at the age of 8 in Treviso (Italy)

at the music institute under the guidance of Master Luke Dalsass. In 1998 he received the diploma of Conservatory Steffani in Castelfranco with gold medal. Nicola won a lot of first prizes in national and international violin competitions, including the Marcosig of Gorizia, Stresa, Oak Golden Imperia National Exhibition of Vittorio Veneto, Tortona etc. He attended master classes of such famous musicians as Salvatore Accardo, Igor Oistrach, Jean Jaques Kantorow F. (USA, Slovenia, Albania, Austria, Czech Republic, Spain, France, Croatia, China, Belgium, Greece, Kenya, Ethiopia, Egypt, Australia, Spain) as soloist or with orchestra. Numerous concerts at Venice S. Giovanni Academy were soloed and conducted by Nicola Granillo performing his very large repertory, that ranges from Vivaldi to contemporary music. Nicola was the first violin of the orchestra "I Virtuosi di Aquileia". In Udine Main Theater Orchestra as well as in Orchestra Sinfonica Adriatica he held the role of a concertmeister. Since 2002, Nicola took part in "Ensemble '900", an orchestra exploring the entire modern and contemporary repertoire which highlighted various international festivals. In September 2003 Nicola Granillo was invited to Hong Kong (China) for a concert and a radio recording for the national Chinese radio. In April 2006 he debutated at Megaron Musikis in Athens by the invitation of C. Lambrakis, the president of the theatre.

Nicola Granillo is also a member of the prestigious ensemble Interpreti Veneziani.

The Italian and World press and important personalities of music world always respond about Nicola Granillo as a great musician. He is equally brilliant in various epochs' techniques, creating the atmosphere of that precise time and context in his music when those compositions were written, combining that with individual interpretation, which enables him to practice a wide repertoire consisting of almost all ages and styles from Vivaldi's contemporaries to modern composers, including the music of Argentinean tango, traditional Hungarian music, Charles Chaplin soundtrack music, jazz and old swing style for which Nicola writes arrangements with piano accompaniment or strings ensemble.

His repertoire also includes various masterly works of Vivaldi, Mozart, Paganini, Saint-Saens, Sarasate, Wieniawski

and many others. His music style combines inspiration by different musicians such as Menuhin and Stephane Grappelli. Nicola Granillo's performance outstands with refined elegance, inherent in Baroque music, hidden flaming passion of Tango and Spain, frank sensuality of Nouveau era.
